Indicator lights on my Bedford AWD lorry don't work, but the hazard lights do.....?

I have changed the flasher unit and the switch (stalk) but still no joy. The flasher unit, relay, has 4 wires going in, but only 3 spades on the unit. Anyone any ideas????? If anyone can help I'll buy ya a pint!
