How do you give a baby gripe water - can you mix it with their feed in the bottle?

Our baby is 7 weeks old and until recently we used infacol which didnt really help with wind so we thought we would try gripe water. It only says on the bottle to give a 5ml spoonful. Can that be mixed in with the formula or do you have to use a spoon or syringe?
