Did any one ever try anything new?

I am talking about computer software. Besides the ol windows operating system and MAC. did anyone ever bother to look at the other side? I have been using Linux for 4 years ( ubuntu , linux mint, fedora) and i have never loved my computer the way i do now. Windows VISTA was the last operating system that i used out of microsoft ( used for only 2 months). So is there anyone else out there that used and loves the flexibility of linux? I love that i can actually tweak EVERYTHING on teh system to my specific liking. Do you feel that Linux is Underrated? shouldnt linux get WAY better market share than 2.13%?
